Its testament to the character of people who can pick themselves up, dust themselves off, and look to the future :thumb::thumb:

From the looks of the pics, I don't think there was much dust involved. At least not yet. ;) You're right, though, about how it shows the character of the residents.
 
My brother is in the insurance business and has been in the area for about three weeks now. He told me that it is a terrible feeling when he has to go see people whose lives have been torn down like this and have to tell them he's sorry, but they never bought "flood" insurance. No homeowners policy has flood insurance. It is something that you have to get separately and most of them did not. He told me about visiting homes worth $500,000 or more that are a total loss....and had no flood insurance. Very sad.

Tom, it was on the local news here that some couldn't get the flood insurance. Something about the flood plane wasn't were it happened. Never should have flooded where it did.
