Sierra Canadian Shredded Currency pen blanks using Resin Saver mold rather than pouring a slab and having to use a pressure pot.

1. Found that the spray adhesive used on the brass tube reacted with the PR resulting in some of the shredded pieces of money coming loose and floating to the surface.

2. The resulting reaction of the PR on the adhesive also caused the release of a lot of air bubbles which I was able to remove with no problems.

3. With some of the pieces of shredded money floating to the surface resulted in some voids and tear-out while turning.

4. The voids and tear-out were easily repaired with Med CA.

I am going to try some different methods of adhering the shredded money to the tubes to see if I can find a product that will not react with the PR.

Thanks for the post, Les. Do you suppose a water-based glue like Elmer's or Titebond might work better for holding the paper to the tube? I think it'd resist the plastic resin.
