Catalyzing finishes

This is for the guys who catalyze.
I reading you always catalyze before adding reducer after which I would like to know; do you want 5 - 10 minutes before spraying ?

Just wondering because I sprayed with in a minute of mixing and got spitting.

Yes, I did use a dictionary. It said: "to act upon by catalysis". :doh:

Oh, that really helped a lot....not.

I know I'm forgetting something from high school chemistry. So, I forgot. :dunno:

Help me out.
And, please, also explain how you "reduce" a catalysis. But only if it's permitted on FW.

Frank when I know I will tell ya. We need a chemist to explain. :rofl:

I just use the product and follow the directions and if they don't work I test them for getting better results then what the book engineers know :rofl:

I have actually taken college level chemistry also. Remember less of that than hs.

I chuckle at the fact he has written about "understanding" finishes.
While that column sorta explains the question, it is more of a fall asleep during the lecture disertation than an explanation for the average guy.
But, thanks, it does answer the question.
