I guess this is flat work? The wood is flat.
I asked a couple of weeks ago about lamp kits. This is why I needed them. This is my prototype for a helmet lamp. The helmet is an old one that my nephews high school can't use anymore. The head coach is going to sell them as a fund raiser for the football program. He said he has about 15 helmets. As you can tell the board is just a piece of oak ply. I was going to edge band the ply but after I put a few coats of shellac on I kind of liked how it looks.
The lamp looks crooked in the picture, but it's not. It must be the angle I took the picture.
