A Finishing question

I've used a wipe on poly over a sanding sealer, and sometimes use mineral oil as a stand alone finish... haven't tried it yet, but can you put mineral oil over a sanding sealer... will it dry or will it stay oily? Is it even a good idea to use MO over a sealer?

Currently I have both a lacquer sanding sealer and a can of Cabot's... I usually use a Min-wax, but last time at Lowe's they only had the Cabot... tonight I put that on a box elder bowl that was nice and light colored with some red around the rim and some graying of the wood in some places... the Cabot's added a slight amber tone to the wood, not as clear as I really wanted... it did enhance the red in the rim though. I used the Lacquer SS on a couple pieces of hackberry that has a nice spalting and it added no color.
