Not much too look at, but it'll come in handy this winter tending the fire.

It's an 'ember rake' used to move the coals around in the fireplace. Basically, rack the coals to the front, put fresh wood in back so that the coals get more fresh air and get converted from charcoal to ash...

Maple Handle, Copper plumbing part ferrule, steel bar welded to some sheet steel for the rake.

That'll be very handy this winter, Brent. It looks real nice. :thumb:

If you make a bigger one you can use it for mixing all the concrete for your shed slab. Think of all the money you'll save on mixer rental. :p
 
When i first saw it i thought it was connected to your concrete work.:D

Cool job you dun of the tool. Now you need a stoker or poker whatever you call em. I was about to type what about shovel then remembered you use wood.:eek:
 
So, now that Sharon saw this, looks like I have to make a poker and a shovel, and a rack to hold'em... Oh well, Knowing my productivity, I have plenty of time to come up with a design...
