Yeah, we love lamb around here. Make some persian kebabs with it usually with some persian rice with the 'tadig'. Basically steamed rice that gets a crisply layer of fried rice on the bottom.
Definitely have to give that apricot/lamb/bacon thing a try.
Good on ya Stu, that is just good old fashioned inginuity. I hate throwing things out too if they can be fixed (and everything can be fixed in my opinion). On saying that though I have learned to stopped collecting things that I can fix as i only have so much space
