Hi All Techies

I am quiet excited to notice that after all these years we finally getting lots of choice in the tech sector and innovation is again live and well.

If you in to innovation as a subject check out Author Steven Johnsons site and this article on the approach Steve Jobs had in the past and now and wonder who is right.

http://www.stevenberlinjohnson.com/2010/06/is-steve-jobs-repeating-his-past-mistakes.html

Then to verify some of the comments of the NY times well check the market cap of Microsoft and of Apple

and to top it off just look at all the phones and their market share and take a look at Androids rise. This is according to Neilsons Research.

So what do the techs say.

I still have my poor little palm..not the phone.:D

Rob,

No more comments from me on this topic. There has been too many miss-truth posted already.

I understand brand loyalty.

I don't know. I've used them all and each have served their purpose. At least they've gotten better at playing together. I think Google is definitely going to be taking some market share as people move away from home based devices into the mobile world (not just phones). Just my .02

Different strokes for different folks.

Truer words were never spoken. I've got a droid, Doorlink has an I-phone. Julian runs a Mac laptop, I run a desktop workstation, which double boots to windows and Linux. Wish I had an I-pad. In my car, I used to connect my I-pod touch into my radio. Now I use the droid, and use the touch to play podcasts on my ear protection in the shop.

We're going to be in a mixed environment for a long time. And someday, someone will figure out how to get them all to work together. Virtual machines are a step in the right direction. Pretty soon, it won't matter what you're running underneath, or what kind of hardware.

Thanks,

Bill
