War

A grey squirrel is the boss At the sunflower feeder.
A large red bellied woodpecker at the suet.

When the big rodent gets finished the goldfinch fight the titmice, a Dove flops in and pushes all of them away. An American kestrel hangs around waiting for a liitle bird meat.

I counted over fifty birds at or near the one feeder when I posted this..

Too dark now and only the goatsuckers are out right now.

Yes we call then goatsuckers here in the Ozarks.

The Common Poorwill, Phalaenoptilus nuttallii.

Church in the morning maybe a pic early.

got any foxes on the battlefield? They love to ambush and so do the Hawks. I will be sitting in a deer stand and watching the birds or small animals and all of a sudden a Hawk will swoop down and grab one or a fax will be laying in wait and pounce. Really cool watching natures true Hunters at work.
