That is pretty cool too, I don't know that I would use that enough to actually make one. I think this one could find a way into the shop at some point though.

yes, but I didn't see that he used it for mortise and tenons when you linked to it. I don't know if I watched the whole video then... I think I got distracted by his other videos. So since this machine can to mortise and tenon and other joints I think this is a more attractive machine except for the fact that 2x templates have to be made. I think with the slot mortiser its just a matter of adjusting the width setting and cranking up or down the height. So maybe the slot mortiser is easier for one-off stuff:dunno:
