Incorporating the RAS into my shop.

In the picture of the table I'm building, I have not yet cut out the place where the fence will go, as I'm kind of just building it as one piece, and will then cut it apart.

Yeah, the BS is rotated oddly in that pic....
Is this better?

Brent my saw just stands away from the wall with he C back to it. So i approach it when cutting with my body parallel to the wall so stock that is getting cut is running through the blade parallel to the wall.

(Missed this thread back in December...)

I'm with Rob.

If it was my shop, the way I work, I'd put the bandsaw on the corner where you have that tall red toolbox, probably angled. Then it could handle just about anything most of the time without moving. Then I'd shove the red cabinet a bit left, or find another spot for it along the wall.

But of course it depends on what you do and how you work.

Yeah, It's going to be a work in progress for sure... But I doubt I'll get to the point where anything has a dedicated spot, except for the stuff directly attached to the walls!

As it is, I think I need to rework this picture, because I'm thinking I need to put some base cabs where the DP and BS are positioned...
