Jr. Gent's 10K gold with Caragana. ( Siberian pea-shrub )
Experimenting with a BLO Only finish on a soft wood to get a hard durable Satin finish.
So far seems to be working OK.

Another nice one, Les. :thumb: The caragana goes great with the gold hardware.

Bill beat me to the question...how are you applying the BLO? Friction polish style? I'm also curious to see how the finish holds up with use. BLO is a relatively soft finish, so I wonder about its durability.
 
Also curious as to durability over time. I've always considered BLO more of a stain than a finish.... but then again, what do I know?:rofl:

Always interested in trying new techniques in finishing. Think i'll give it a go. I'll be sure to dispose of the rags properly by laying them flat until dry and then placing them in a steel refuge container outside.
