I was rooting for the Steelers over the Jets... think the Steelers & Packers will be a good game.. hoping for the Packers..

I didn't get to see the Steelers/Jets game... it had just kicked off when the LOML sat down next to me and said she was having chest pains, numbness and tingling in her face and around her mouth and a pain through the chest to the shoulder blade in the back... since she's afflicted with Atrilfibulation (sp) and diabetic plus we are too far out in the country to take chances, we made a quick trip via ambulance to ER almost 50 miles away...
as an Illinois girl, think she was upset the Bears lost to GB :rofl: ...
fortunately after 3 1/2 hours at the ER, the doctors couldn't find anything wrong with the ticker.. just a severe case of reflux/Gerd or something along that line... they gave her an atomic cocktail that settled things pretty quickly... EKG was normal, pulse normal.. yesterday she took it easy and lounged about the house...
after we made a trip to the eye doctor..
she's scheduled for a retina peel on both eyes next week, then after that heals, she'll go in for cataract surgery...

crud break, but shes fine and thats all that matters.
I think greenbay and chicago was a pretty crappy game. Unexciting.
I thought Pitt looked great until the jets started to shut them down the second half, so I think were headed for a pretty boring superbowl.

It won't be boring unless they cut out the commercials--often they are the best part of the game anyway.

I have heard nothing on tickets yet. I will check and let you know what I learn.

UPDATE: I talked to the Colts who directed me to the NFL office. Apparently the release date for 2012 Super Bowl tickets and ticket information is not available yet. When I hear something definite and more importantly IF I CAN REMEMBER to do it, I put that info here. At times it seems like the only thing I can remember is to forget what I'm supposed to do.:huh::rofl:

I did check the NFL ticket exchange site and saw that tickets for this year's game were priced in the range of $2,400 and up for each seat. I didn't dig into it for cheaper seats--I figured my couch was the only seat I could afford this year.:thumb::thumb:

I think Peyton's new contract is just a formality of going through the process. It's understood here that the initial offer would make him the highest paid NFL player of all time. I love the Colts and Peyton Manning. That being said, I hope that he says to give some $$ to others and get help at a few key positions.

Coaching? A definite possibility I think. TV is also a possibility.

Steve whats Vegas say about the Packers lately? Is it worth a bob or two?:)

Here ya go Rob just got this,

"As -3.0 points favorites, the Packers are also -140 favorites in the sportsbook to win Super Bowl XLV over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Perhaps the only difference between these two teams is that the Steelers have had the comfort of playing at home. There’s also no telling how healthy their offensive line will be for the big game in Dallas.

The Steelers are getting an attractive +3.0 point cushion and are also +120 to win Super Bowl XLV outright. Do you think they have a chance to overcome the Super Bowl XLV odds? Then it’s time to put your money where your mouth is."

Haven't been around much, but I do check in every now and then and this thread caught my eye.

Of course I'm a PACKER backer. The Lombardi trophy will be coming home February 8th to Lambeau. It will sit right next to the George Halas trophy won January 23 in Chicago.

I do believe it will be an exciting game and I'm looking forward to the commercials also.
