Jr. Gents' Ballpoint dressed up in a piece of Curly Bubinga.
Glued in Cap tube and turned between centers.
Machined off the Threaded Coupler and put together the Nib Assembly.
Twisting the nib clock-wise retracts the refill tip.
Unscrew the nib counter clock-wise to access the refill.
Sanded barrel to 400x, buffed with Super Fine Steel Wool and applied 6 coats of MINWAX Clear Gloss Polyurethane.
No polishing or buffing required using the MINWAX Poly.

Les that is a super pen. Your WOP finishes amaze me. I've tried it several times and didn't even come close to that fine of finish. Does it last as well as the CA finish?

Thanks Paul,

The MINWAX Poly was original developed for finishing hardwood floors and is a very hard and durable finish once fully cured.
At this point in time I don't know if would last as long as the CA finish.

I don't know why Les, but this one just looks a little plain. Could be my glasses are dirty;). I picked up some Minwax gloss poly...silver can that says "quick drying". It's going on a platter. Very happy with it so far:D

I think Jim needs to clean his glasses. Very nice pen, Les. (I've got a pomelle bubinga pen blank that's gonna get turned here in the near future.) And like Jim, I also picked up a little can of Minwax quick-drying poly the other day. I'm going to give the "Les Elm Pen Finish" a try. :thumb:
