I'd have definately bought it at that price even if I didn't want it. A little clean up and you could at least tripple your money, maybe more. Look at the priceof a new one! Great score.

Bruce, I'd have jumped on your offer if you lived closer.
Larry, I am keeping the other lathe. That lathe has a smaller swing (10") and less HP. Whereas, Nova has a 16" swing over the bed and can go higher outboard. I have been thinking of buying a larger lathe. I am not planning on turning any large out-of-round pieces. If this lathe works out then it will save me money to buy other tools.

If you're going to El Paso, then Texas is closer... if you go to Houston, it further from Houston to El Paso than from El Paso to Los Angeles.

Well, "closer" is a relative term. To me, closer means somewhere in Southern Cal. I did think about Larry's offer for a few minutes but Texas is still too far.
