A little of everything

I probably got a little carried away with trying to incorporate too many things into one piece here. But I was experimenting with a few things, an end grain winged form, some off center eccentric turning, and a natural bark edged pedestal base. So this is a natural bark edged lidded winged vessel with offset eccentric pedestal and finial. Oh, and it's all scrub oak, 14" tall, 5" across.

Wow Curt, as soon as you fix the wobble in your lathe that's causing those crooked finials, you'll be doing great. :rofl:

Very cool piece. I agree that you have a lot of things going on at once in this one, but they are all very nicely done, and seem to work together. :thumb:
 
I like this one, Curt. I think I described it elsewhere as 'rustic funky' which still seems about right. I love the wobbly sticks on the last few you've posted.
