Larry how is the lacquer spraying

the stuff spray great dave,, and i have used brushing lacquer and sprayed it tried brushing the stuff and back then it was not the thing to do,, might be able to pull it off now but rather spray than brush any day:) have toned lacquer and done fine with it.. just need to get my color wheeel yet to know where to go to get there..
 
Most all colors will run off of generic stains. From there all you need to do is a little tweaking. Green is the most used color from browning up either mahogany of Walnut. A good antique color time is 1-1-1 antique oak, van-dyke brown and maple. Yellow with a little golden oak will take colors to the orange side.

Brushing Lacquer I mainly use for glazing or small touch ups.
