Nice deal on a cordless track saw

Looks like ToolKing has an electric version with the track. By the time you bought the track and clamps it was around the same price as the electric version...just fyi.

Never heard of track saws before.
Probably great for contractors but limited usefullness for average homeowner. I could use one next week for a single cut.

Never heard of them? They are discussed a lot on woodworking forums. Festool and EZ Smart have had track saw systems for years. DeWalt is a relatively new player to the game, but they've been well-reviewed. Properly set up and used, they can be very accurate saws. There are other brands out there too, and some folks even make homemade equivalents. Here are a few videos to give you an idea what they can do...

There are woodworkers who've completly replaced their tablesaw with a track saw. And not just pros...a lot of hobbyists use them too. Great for cutting sheet goods, but they can also be used for a lot of other work. You can also get router attachments to go on the track for making guided router cuts.
