I don't know how much interest there is in this but I just came across this video of John Economaki of Bridge City Toolworks showing how he takes a sketch on a napkin and gets to the final design for a stainless steel plane handle. I found it while poking around on the Wacom website. I have the newer model of the tablet/screen he is using but I doubt I'll be doing any design work like he does with it.

Cool video. I have a friend that does comic books and he started out mostly hand drawing and scanning the drawings to add color and airbrush. Now he uses the Cintiq drawing pad for almost all of his drawings from start to finish. They are quite an innovation.

I really like my Cintiq 21UX. It is handy as a second monitor and for hand drawing as well as image editing, it is really nice. And mounted on one of these allows me to position it in my lap for drawing or up next to my primary monitor.
