spalted maple hf

this is a piece i've been working on for a couple weeks. just finished it to day. It's the last of the wood that Larry brought me last year.:thumb:
It's 8x41/2 finished with multi coats lacquar knocked down with steel wool, waxed and buffed.

We all like the Michigan chocolate, but that Michigan vanilla fudge swirl is pretty sweet-looking, too. :thumb: The hollow form does a good job of showcasing the wood. Good stuff, Steve. :clap:
 
What a cool flying saucer!! Real nice curve at the mouth and nice finish. I really like the size...8" is a great chunk! Very nice Steve...take me to your leader!!:rofl:
