I had a local group approach me about having a club meet in my shop a few years ago and I checked with my lawyer and my insurance company. No way!
I couldn't do it, too much cost and I would have had to have all of the safety devices on all of my machines. Comp on my shop was higher than comp for roofing to begin with, with a huge add for having hobbiests in my shop. Wasn't do'able even when I was not looking to have a profit.
I have too much to lose to take a chance. Not sure how you could structure it to get around it, but I think a good lawyer would get into your pocket no matter what you did if there was an accident.
