A guy in Minnesota is going to be able to pick up his new lathe.

A guy in Pennsylvania is going to get a piece of fill-in molding.

And several locals are going to get something, too.

OH, and , BTW, My Nova 1624-44 is FINALLY up and running. I thought it was never going to get mounted. This afternoon I got a neighbor to help me move it to the basement.

Congrats, Bruce. :thumb: You have far more patience than I do. Looking forward to seeing your review after you've driven it a little bit.

Bruce,
Any reason you didn't mount on the stock legs? So far, I've found mine to be very heavy. Of course, I haven't turned anything larger then 7" and that being a thin plate.

Well Bert, I am 6'3" tall. I would have to raise the lathe 4-5" to be at the right height for me. I didn't feel that threading (if they would go that far) the pads out was a good idea. Building a platform would add vibration and noise, so no go there.

I had built the table for a Jet mini, then used it for a Rikon Mini, and it worked well. So far it is the right weight and height for me.
