Nearly two years' supply (about 10 cords) of firewood, all split and piled for the summer. It's great when it gets to this stage! Nice to have it done when the weather's cool too.
Found a few more "special" pieces in it. Trying to train my guy to leave the suspicious ones 8' long :(

peter how much ground yu got there? looks like some real nice hunting ground to me:) and thats one fine pile of firewood too:thumb::thumb:

Our own place is only about ten acres of pasture and the farm buildings, Larry. It would have been a working fruit farm of about eighty acres until the late 1950's.
Our neighbour has about 25 acres of commercial apple orchard you can see in the background. It's only about 300 yards through the woods at the back to another commercial farm, growing potatoes and strawberries.
There is a fair bit of wildlife, whitetail deer and ring-necked pheasant. There's not much hunting close by though. The local area is fairly heavily populated, in spite of the farming. Most of the serious hunters would head 10-15 km out south, which is heavily forested and accessible by logging roads.

It's been a while since I was this well-organised Jonathan. The last few summers I've been fooling with firewood in the heat in mid-July:( I hope to put my time to better use this year, being a carpenter and painter. There's a job everywhere I look!
