Weekend accomplishments

Got tomatoes and peppers planted. Working on a table saw station, kinda inventing as I go. Made a Roubo book stand just to see if I could. Will post pics on that later.

Good thread Don:thumb: I have the wainscot underway for the dining room, all the slats are done and am now working on the framing:)

I suprised my wife saturday early evening and when she came home from a day of errands, I asked her if shed like to go on a date with me.
I drove her up to Yonkers Raceway/empire casino, for an evening of penny slot machines and dinner. She was thrilled, said it was the best date shes had in years and year. When we left, I found a coffee shop open closer to home and we sat down have a cup of coffee and some wicked desserts.
I was hoping to get lucky, but when I got upstairs, I passed out and that was that.

We had one of our grandsons stay with us for a few days. He cleaned out the fridge, tied up my TV, and had us running all over the county for practice this and practice that. Got nothing done except help Jan plant a dozen or so plants on Friday.

Lightscaping of course...

Also helped my daughter move again, but got to have Sunday dinner with her, my wife, and son after the move.

Not really the weekend, but just got home from the range, nothing quite like taking a day's stress out on a paper target. ;) :) :D

Also got to test out a new rifle (from 1939), a Mosin Nagant. I think I'm going to have a nice sized bruise on my shoulder tomorrow...it's a little sore.

Spent Saturday in the garden weeding and expanding one of the flower beds and protecting the pond from a huge japanese cherry ornimental tree ( the ones with the all the pink pettles) that over hangs the pond. Sunday was an exiensive cleaning of the shop as the skies opened up and and there are no cats and dogs left in heaven now. Oh and in my process of that cleaning I lit a had a fire and a slight chimney fire so had the fire dept show up an hr before the hockey game. Spent 2 hrs after work on Monday cleaning the chimney and found a blockage in the lower half ( below the connection to the chimney in the clean out ) that must have been there for years. So the chimney is now really clean. :thumb:

made a huge mess out of the shop. Really need to get that dc unit hung up. We finshed the order for the cleint and it will be going to his house in a few minutes. Nice full pickup truck load of trim.

Did the monthly grocery thing, got a load of logs to the mill and loaded up anther. Waiting on the call to find out when he wants this one. Blocked and split some wood for some friends. They are in the middle of a major remodel and needed wood. Figured we could save them some time if we just took a load over.
