I was putting in a new door for my mother. This guy supervised the project all day.

He's got quite a coat on him. My dad has one that he feeds his fish scraps to all summer long as well as any pups she has along with her. Between the birds, squirrels, foxes, and stray cats they almost have a petting zoo around them.

My dad would have had one of us kids snatch it and collar it. He used to dig a litter out in the spring and pick a kit to raise. The best one was a male but as he got older he stunk. He loved to ride in the car but dad only let him in the trunk. He would nip everyone but dad. They are as much if not more fun than a pet 'coon.

I'm surprised the little guy got so close. They sure are cute.

We have coyote pups sit at the end of our driveway every spring. I don't know why their mom lets them get so close:dunno:

We always had raccoons a as pets when I was a kid. They were a lot of fun.

She loved the pics, Chuck, but I'd best not let LOML see either Jon's or Bob's comments, or she'll be wanting her own pet raccoon or fox. (I always wanted a leash-trained mountain lion myself. Here kitty-kitty!) :p

I love foxes they are one of the coolest wild animals that are around this area.
We used to have one that came around my jobsite every afternoon around 430. My husky was still a pup at the time. And she used to bury her lunch then dig it up later and eat it. Well, it didnt take long for the fox to find it.

Every afternoon we would quit around that time just to watch the antics.
The fox would show up and stay just out of reach of my dog. He would go back and forth through the fence and around the tree to get her to wrap herself up then when she was good and tied up would go liesurely dig up here lunch and eat it in front of her.
By the end of the job the 2 actually became friends and would sit together in the front yard.
Pretty cool animal!
