I mean do you need a BIG scroll saw?

This is an Oliver scroll saw. This one is on EBay and I know where another one is. Now what the heck do you do with that thing??

Jeff,
I have an old Craftsman/Kind Sealy scroll saw and find it very useful. It'll swing 24 "inches and cut up to 2" thick material. I mainly use it for making my templates since I can use a very thin blade and is give me the ability to cut very tight raduses or is it radii  :dunno: . Anyhow it's a great tool. It keeps me from having to change out my band saw blades as often :thumb:

Most of the large ones I see are used in sign shops, they cut the wood/Plexiglas type stuff for signs.

Love to have the space to have one, I'm sure I could find some uses for it :D

But Don, you would measure this ones throat in FEET!

I saw another one over in Atlanta and would love to have one just because they are so stinking cool looking! But I can't see much need for a scroll saw with 4-5 foot throat in my shop.

Stu, the sign shop makes a lot of sense. Hadn't thought about that.
