Basically meat on a stick roasted over open fire, slapped onto some bread!
Simple, but good. Well, I liked the ones I made before, but it will be interesting to compare what I made to the real deal!

That must be a very regional dish. I've never heard of spiedies. When I first read the OP, I thought it had something to do with spiders.

Basically Italian sort of kebabs made with lamb, pork, or chicken.

Oh my, them Pork Spiedies were good. The pork was tender and well seasoned, the bread that came with it was soft and yeasty. Just perfect....
And we still have the chicken and lamb to try some other nights....

Very delicious...a keeper...we'll be making French Toast from the left over bread and my leftover ice cream sauces from last weekend's 4th party (blackberry and strawberry). Guess I'm not back on the diet till Monday

Man i hate you.
As you can remember that's my favorate of all foods. I also love the pork, but the chicken will just melt in your mouth. Can't say as i ever had the lamb. But i'm sure that they are just as good. We've even had beef, bear, venison, turkey, you name it we've tried it. yum, yum.
