Walking sawdust

Any clues as to what it is? Looks just like a spider or beetle that emerged from a pile of saw dust...seen a couple of them, or maybe just this one on more than one occasion lately...hard to tell if it has {had :thumb:} 6 or 8 legs, so no idea what family it belongs to...any thoughts? if it helps it's about 3/4" long and the color in the photos are pretty close to accurate.

Pretty creepy looking, but not as bad as the large wolf spider I had floating in our pool. It was dead, but still had about 100 babies clinging to it's back like castaways on a capsized boat. They took a ride into the skimmer.

its a jumping spider. they are hunters instead of lay abouts. They will wander around looking for bugs to eat or set up an ambush and pounce. take a piece of straw and agitate him. you will be amazed at how far they can jump AND see! :D
