What i've been doing( update)

Well as i took the camera to work today. Thought i'd show ya a few pics of what i've been working on for the last year and a half.:) First pic (if i get them in the right order) is the house it self.Pic of the barn is the front drive as you come down to the house. You really can't see them, but there is a nice pond before you get to the house. inbetween the barn and the house. Aslo a nice new pond in the back of the house.
The pics of the beam work, with the brick and fireplace is, a indooor back porch.
The pic of the kitchen(no cabs yet)Will have a large stanless steel stove-grill, installed in the area where the brick arch is. The kitchen also has a fireplace.
The dinning area also has beams, and a fireplace.the master bedroom porch is the pics, where you see the brick masons are still working. Also has more of them big beams, i'm so tired of putting in.
Well here's the pics and any and all comments welcome.
Steve

Stephen, that is just amazing! If I were a multi millionaire, I would live in something like that! I can't imagine dusting that monster years from now! Thanks so much for the pictures, that is awesome!!! :thumb::thumb:

You and your guys do awesome work, Steve. Lots of progress on this one since the last time you showed jobsite pictures. That place in going to be a gorgeous home.

Stephen, in the last picture there are two horizontal beams. They are cut at a diagonal but the cut allows them to fall to the floor, not lock them into the rafter. Those monsters have to have a little heft to them. You didn't just nail them in place. How are you holding them in midair where gravity, time, a few tremors don't wiggle them loose? Just being nosey.

Jonathan they are all mortise and tenon const. with 1 1/2 inch dowels going through them. Also we have some 12 and 14 inch beam screws going in them. We'll peel back some of the beam, put the screws in, then glue the piece that we peeled off back on. this sliver is only about 1/8 of a inch or so. We also try to hide it where it is hand huwed. these beams are cedar so they ain't real heavy, Only about 250 to 300 lbs.:D

Jim the Doc wants to be in by the end of next mounth. We're trying real hard. i think we can get them in by then but we will never have the exter done. He don't care about that so we'll be doing a bunch of work even after they are living there.

All but finished, so thought i'd post some more pics. Hope you enjoy as it's been driving me nuts for two long.:D

Fantastic work Stephen, wow you guys do a great job. My Mother would say "that is how the other half live Robert" :)

Did you guys notice this guy is a hunter i saw a good buck there with at least 8 points and another that was hidden too well. ;)

My wife would love that kitchen I would not like the untility bills especially heating the place. How is that being done? Do you guys get snow down your way? Guess if you can afford the home you can afford the heating bill.

Rob this house is so well insulated that his last bill was only 220 dollars. That was with us leaving the doors open and running in and out.it has 3 geo=thurmal heat sorces to handle the 12000 sq ft in here. And yes he is a big time hunter. The buck heads are bouth 10 points. He has a special Hunting room where he keeps all his guns and such, keeps that under lock and key so i coun't get a pic of that.I need to finish putting in the shelfs in his office to day and try to get the doors on also.
The closets(all 10 of them) have these build in that we did. The drawers are all dove tailed and use self closing slides. They took all most 4 weeks just for them.
