a Jolly ho ho

Hey...it's 2AM...I tried :type: :p :D

Twas early Christmas eve and I was feeling alright
Catching up on the threads from my wood families web site
Quite a few members had faithfully logged on
Most of us too tired to be playing Don Juan

The tools were all cozy, warm & dry in the shop
The silence softly broken as the ice cubes went plop plop
Stretched out in the recliner the wife sound asleep
With the dogs cuddled snugly peacefully at her feet

The holiday season yes a time to relax
Enjoying family and friends great food and kind acts
Gifts have been made and packaged with care
In hopes the receivers would notice our flair

From trinkets and toys to complete bedroom sets
Stuff for our kids our spouses and pets
Given the choice most would do it non-stop
For the smiles on their faces and our time in the shop

Santa has help by way of elves and Reindeer
We sweep after ourselves and fetch our own beer
We stumble & cuss but mostly whistle and sing
There's no stopping with family that's Family Woodworking

Thanks for the sharing of knowledge, laughter and tears
From the bottom of my heart I wish you the best of good cheers
In closing I pray that may peace with you go
Have a merry good season and a jolly ho ho

:santa:

I know coming into the shop this morning,
there would be a warm wish waiting here.
From a family member named Ken ,
sipping on a cold beer.
He sat up all night with work in his head,
found the computer sat down and wrote inset,
of widdling out a prize to be given as a gift.
He fashioned a poem, which reached out to all
"A Jolly Ho Ho " and then off to bed.

Thanks Ken.
