Roasted Maple

50 caliber casing with a Curly Maple nib and takes a Cross refill.
Turned, drilled, sanded to 400x, buffed with super fine steel wool, burnished with turned wood shavings and applied 6 coats of MINWAX Clear Gloss Wipe-On-Poly using the "Dipping Method".
Another one for up coming Gun Show next weekend.

Picture taking quality is slowly improving.

Another beauty, Les. I do think I like looks of the bloodwood one better, but like that one, this detailing on this maple pen is outstanding. You've done a remarkable job of replicating the shell casing. No doubt this one will sell.

Les....is the casing a turned piece or an actual shell casing painted?
