In replacing the bearings on my scroll saw i had to buy two new Timken tappered bearings. Of course the dreaded value engineering guys got hold of this in later models and replaced them with the roller type.
Well Timken is a bearing company in the USA where bearings are still made in the USA. (hopefully meaning quality)
Anyhow to ensure this guy gets credit in 2012 it may interest you to know Henry Timken invented the tappered roller bearing and founded the company.
