Back in August of last year I had a need for a product like the Vari-Jig and did a thread on a shop made version here. Soon after I got done with what I was tying to do, some good Samaritan posted about Sears having the $120 Vari-Jig on clearance for $40; I grabbed one. I wanted a better solution for clamping it and their clamps at $42. This just seemed a bit steep for a $40 jig .
I made a mock-up of 1/8" hardboard then milled some scrap ash as shown.
Drilled the holes and now have another use for my t-track hold-down clamps.
Generally only two are used but, since these were so reasonably priced I made a set of four .
