Radial Arm Saw Station - With Fence

IT's a red star multiplex 40-a 3/4 hp. I think it could take a 12" blade, but I've got a 10" cross cut on it. It swung my 8" dado with no problem, but the blades keep spinning for 10 minutes after you shut it off.
 
Are you sure it's a 40A? It's possible they differ, but my 30A has a 5/8" arbor and a 3/4 HP motor, while I thought the 40A has a 3/4" arbor and a 1 1/2 HP motor. Could it be that you have a 30A with a 40A blade guard?

Either way, it looks like a very nice setup.

Hmmm, that's very interesting. That could very well be. I'm not sure where my FIL got it, but it could have been off of an army base where they had a bunch of them, and it's quite possible the blade guard got switched.

I'll have to do a little research.
