goblet for the state fair

well, i finally got the last of the 4 projects done for the state fair. i was going to add captive rings to it too, but it didn't work out too good. the goblet is hard maple, the celtic knot is walnut. i added a pic of the inside of the bowl to show that the knot is on the inside too. it's been a while since i turned a goblet, so i'm a bit on the rusty side.

we'll see guys. i have to take all of the items to the fair sunday morning. i won't find out how they did until the fair opens on the 23rd. if they place, i'm happy, where they place is the icing on the cake (plus the check for $4, $6, or $8) :thumb:
 
Great work! Fairs are a lot of fun. My kids use to show and sell the sheep. We had great fun until the day they had to say goodbye to their sheep. They got over it when they received their check. I've thought of putting in some wood working stuff, but is always seems to get lost in life and I never get to it. Good luck on your projects.
