Anybody have a Drill Doctor?

Well if you don't use it then it can't pay for itself. I have a few hundred bits I have picked up over the years. I dull an throw in a drawer, then one day I sit down and sharpen all of them. Of course I drill a lot of metal as well so I tend to dull several bits. I only wish I would have bought the 3/4 inch rather than he 1/2 inch max version. it is hard to do real small bits with it. But those are the ones it is cheap to buy in 10 packs. Spade bits are easy to do by hand. And over .5 inch are pretty easy to do by hand. A real good quality sharpener will be much more than the DD but I have no desire to get rid of mine. But as others have said it won't work on specialty bits..

So I found an older but barely used DD 500 [now called the classic]. It arrived today, and I have to say it does as advertised. Took some old dull bits, and they look better than new. Now, just wondering here, is the split point feature worth doing most of the time? Thanks to all for the good advice.
