Thanks, everyone. Services are still pending. My brothers and sister are taking care of Mom for now. I don't know yet if she will stay in the same place or will have to move again. I will make the dash for the service but I have to return to AZ for a meeting at the end of the month. I will spend some time with Mom then - after all the hoopla has died down and the reality of the future has set in. They would have been married 71 years in November. Ours was never a close family but we will gather if for but a short time. Perhaps now more peace and joy will visit our family. It has been hard. I am ready for affirming relationships.

I too am late seeing this as I haven't visited the forum in about 6 weeks. So sorry to hear of your Dad's passing.

Thanks, everyone. His service was this past Wednesday and I just got home about an hour ago. Life goes on, whether we are ready or not. Continue to keep my mother in your prayers, please. They would have been married 71 years next week.
