tape dispenser plans?

Hello all,

I am looking to build a table-top tape dispenser for 3" packing tape. I could just buy one, but where's the fun in that?


Does anyone have any plans fro such a project or has anyone made one before?

No plans, but when I sold factory build units decades ago, there was a tear strip (like a scotch tape dispenser) similar to a dead hacksaw blade, and a brush the full width of the tape that stuck up from a water reservoir. The brush was fairly short - perhaps 1/2 inch above water level, and stiff enough to stand up by itself when wet.

Apparently there is one in the October 2010 issue of WOOD magazine. I'm not sure if I have that one. and there's one here that may be closer to your needs.

I don't have plans, but how about a picture of one... you can infer plans from it maybe.
