Not pens, I did a few small bowls getting ready for my last 4 shows for the year... I have a Holiday Market coming up the next 4 Saturdays in downtown K'ville.... just trying to get ready.
An interesting piece of Walnut... looks like it has spalting in the heartwood... It's small, only 5 3/4" Dia x 2 1/2" high... finished with polyurethane.
This is an interesting wood also, it's mostly a trash tree, almost a weed in this part of the country, beautiful in the spring when it's in full bloom... this is Mimosa Wood... 6 1/2" dia x 2 1/2" high and finished with polyurethane..
This is another small bowl from a tree that the local electric company took down on my back yard... it was leaning at about 25 degree over their power line and in danger of falling and taking out the line.... it was interesting watching them climb the tree to top it before they could cut it down.... not something I would do... standing on a tree trunk over power lines.... the bowl is 6 3/4" dia x 3" high and also finished with polyurethane.
