How things change

Back in the 80's when Levi 501 button fly were in style I had to have some. Wore them all the time. Had to have a company physical and the old doc said drop em and you should have seen his expression when instead of unzipping I unbuttoned. He said I didn't think they made those kind any more. He also said that they were the only kind of pants when he was a kid and he hated them. I guess fashion comes around when most of us have forgotten.

In the 70s I swore I'd never wear any jeans except Levi Big Bells. When they stopped making them, I went to shrink-to-fit button fly 501s and have worn no other kind of jeans since then. (Wearing a pair as I type this.) They're getting hard to find locally in my size, but I can get them mail order, and usually at a discount.
