REVERSE WINGS

reverse wing 10.jpg

This is a piece of Beech I turned trying to do one of Terry Scott"s signature Manta Ray.
It stands about 5" high x 8" across opposite tips, the wings are a tad over 1/8". As it always looked a bit outer space to me I added a funny antenna like finial. It sits on 3 carved feet.
Comments of any nature are welcome.

Thanks Nate & Vaughn, just be prepared to maybe make a couple for the fire box along the way :D, (I belong to the same Guild as Terry so have seen a few made by the master)
Larry there is no vibration at all as you are turning your "ups n downs" at the same time so you're in balance all the way, do have to watch the knuckles though

Very nice! :thumb: :thumb: I've wanted to try doing a winged bowl that goes one direction and have been fearful, I can't imagine reversing two wings. Great job.
