Hey Gang,

I have used the Forrest Blade for years. I need to ship it off for sharpening and was looking for a comparable blade to use in it's absence. I have read some on the Freud Fusion 40 tooth combo blade. Anyone have experience w/this blade?

Thanks

Jack, I recently purchased the Freud Fusion blade for my table saw. I don't have much experience with it (and no experience with the Forrest blades), but I did test it out some maple and birch plywood, mdf, baltic birch ply and did some ripping on 1 1/2" maple. All the sheet goods were perfect, no chipping. I did get a little burning on the maple, but I think my feed rate may have been a little slow.

Just bought two.
Installed one just last week.

Very smooth cut on hardwoods.
Pushes a little harder than what I'm used to. [More teeth]
I normally run freud thin kerf 24T

Mike,

Holbren is a good place, and Brian has offered some specials here before.

Give them a call and ask about a FW member discount.
Thanks, Greg. I'll give them a call.

[Update 3/27] I sent a message to Brian and he replied that registered FW members get a 10% discount. If you order from him, ask how to get the discount. I did order the Tenryu Gold Medal blade - it was about $80 shipped.
