Playing in the shop today making up some trim for a few windows.
So here we have the window in question I have 3 this size and one bigger to do.
First we find some pine 1 x 4
We don't want any blotching in the stain so we sand the mill marks and any pitch stuck on the surface off.
Got to keep an eye on the supervisor. He likes to sleep on the job.
Off to beading Pics 6 and 7
Pic 8 all beaded and ready for the next step
Pic 9 all the lefts and rights are cut
Pic 10 jig all set up for cutting the top

And some more first we have the 45 all cut
Than measure the distance between the 45's I came up with this number buy taking the out side width of the window subtracting the thickness of the jam than adding a 1/2 back on for the revile. I hold the tape on the 1 to get a better measurement. But you got to remember that when you mark the other end. LOL
Move the jig and make the other end cut.
5 the yellow supervisor is paying more attention. He stays tied on his out side rope even when in the shop. Got to keep him out of trouble in here and he has yet to learn not to jump on things.
Pic 6 off to the table saw to cut the bead off I cut it a bit proud and shave it back with a chisel.
Than swap the saw set up to the other end and do it again Set the saw and check the cut before cutting all 4.

Lunch is over so it's back to work.
Cleaning up the shoulder I left with the table saw.
Setting the bit depth on the drill.
New drawer just for this stuff out it in yesterday.
Jig all set up and the first hole drilled.
Marking the ends of the tops for cutting.
First side clamped to the top.
First joint.
First frame done to this point. And look there the bathroom sink. Aka Flat surface for stuff to gather on:thumb:
On to the apron I miter both ends to return the bead back to the wall.
Than miter the cut offs.

Than cut off just the 45 I put a mark on it to show where it is getting cut off.
The cut off piece I put a waster behind the cut so as to not have to look for the cot off all over behind the saw.
The bucket that lives under the saw.
This is just one of the reasons little yellow dogs get tied up in the shop. Kinda hard to see but my tape is full of little puppy teeth marks.
I put some tape on the face of the board and glue the return on.
That is all for now I am out of stock for jams and the banding so that puts an end to production.

Just because Larry is a slave driver. I went out and made up the windows sills.
Even had to change cutter heads on the shaper.
