Another Marking Knife

Since I gave my first one to Dad, I needed to make another marking knife. I think it was Mike W. that suggested pinning the blade in a round hole with half dowels. It worked great! Thanks Mike! It as made of walnut with a bronze ferrule. The blade was from a floor scraper blade that has been floating around for about a year.

Thanks for the replies guys I really appreciate it!

Bart, the handle is just under 6". I really didn't go by any measurements, just what seemed about right. A jointer or planer blade would probably work, I just don't know how hard it would be to work with. The last knife I made, I used an old recip saw blade and that works well too.
