Here are a couple of pics of a hall table I just finished, it's 14x43x30 high. The oak is from a barn me and a few family members took down. The barn was estimated to be from the 20's or 30's. We got 4 pickup loads of oak and yellow pine (mostly oak). The agreement was that we could have the barn we just had to clean everything up. I made the hall table for the lady that owned the barn.

John,

I like the table ! :thumb:

It sounds like it was a pretty good deal to get 4 truck loads of wood.

Did you run a metal detector over the wood you used for the table, before working on it?

Very Nice, John. Sounds like you got a pretty good deal there, (of course that depends on how much sweat equity it really took to get the barn down and cleaned up).:D

Now THAT is how to recycle!!:thumb:

Very nice table, and I'm sure the lady will be happy to get it.

Good deal on the wood as well, it pains me to see such nice wood go onto a burn pile.

Cheers!

Sean,
Before I ran any of the wood through my tools I bought a detector. It payed for itself on the first board.

Norman, We had the barn down and cleaned up in about 6 hours.
