Wasn't pretty, but worked

I was gluing up a split round wooden trivet that my uncle made years ago this morning and had put the glue on and was about to grab my band clamp. That's when I realized that I had loaned it to my nephew. I quickly grabbed 4 bar clamps and used two of them to keep the two being used to clamp from sliding off the edges.

After I thought about it I probably could have cut a couple of arches in some blocks pieces for each side to give me some square areas for clamping on, but it worked. Need to sand it up and refinish it.

Thanks fellas.

Last night I got it sanded down, put on a couple of coats of shellac and burnished it out with wax and 0000 steel wool. Told my wife not to use it for putting plants on anymore (water + wood = bad).
