Wiring for my new DC.

John, mine trips the 20 amp breaker about every 3rd start up. When I rewired the shop a couple weeks ago, I figured everything on it's own circuit would solve the problem. So much for thinking. Next time I have a full shop day, I am going to put the amp clamp on it and she what it pulls at cold start up and hot start up. I got a feeling the locked rotor current is way up there.

Yeah Steve,
I really wish that it had a decent motor on it that could be wired for 220. I'm going to continue firing it up now and then and see what happens. If it continues to trip the breaker, I'm just going to return it and buy a good one that can be run on 220. That should solve the tripping problem. I bought the first one on March 22 and HF has a 90 return policy. I know that HF is not high end stuff, but it shouldn't be tripping breakers continually.
