Dale Nish 1932-2013

Just heard that Dale Nish, celebrated woodturner, passed away a few days ago. He was best known for his vessels turned from wormy ash:

His passing leaves a big hole in the woodturning community. I respectfully disagree with your comment about him being best known for his wormy vessels, though. He's best known as one of the founders of Craft Supplies USA, and was a very prolific teacher and demonstrator of the woodturning arts. He (and others in the Nish family) have done more for modern woodturning than anyone else I can think of.
