I just received a short e-mail from my son. He didn't give me much info but included these 4 pictures. I know he flew somewhere to do something about the new jet the Navy is getting. He current job in the Navy is to get LeMoore Navy Air Base prepared and transitioned to the new jet the F-35. He is flying one of the F-18's

I built model airplanes as a kid. And so I know even though they are beautiful, those things just won't fly.

Received more pictures from my son and a link to a video of the arrival of the F35 C at it's home base. My son (Cmdr. Brian Douglass) is driving one of the F-18's escorting the F-35. The Navy version does not have vertical take off capabilities.
