It's here!!! Has been a warm week, not much is getting done around my shop lately as the ice tea by the pool won't drink itself. ;) Saturday it's supposed to have a chance of rain, but I think I may go get materials for the Master Bedroom Closet and Storage project. Drawings are only part way finished but will buy more than enough for the job. Sunday it's supposed to warm back up, so I may have to focus on more pool time.

Tonight, my wife said something about going out for some occasion, not sure what she has planned.

So what's everyone else got going?

I have hopes on finishing up a trim project that has been taking WAY too long:eek: and get started on a wine box for a wedding next month. Oh and need to mow again...

Just replaced an old 11.8K BTU window A/C unit with a 15.1K Btu unit. Old unit died during this hot 90+ °F weather, but better late than never. These things are heavy for an "older" person.

Just had a third Ultra Sound examination performed this AM for blood clots (2) resulting the the knee replacement surgery and was informed that the clots have cleared up. Good news! Hopefully I can get off the Xarelto blood thinner medication ASAP as that has caused some adverse side effects (swelling, pain, & affecting the PT implementation).

Hoping to complete the wiring of the HFDC today.

Tomorrow the plan is for us to visit Lake Winnipesaukee (Wolfeboro in particular - our favorite lake spot), shop, dinner & watch all the crazies boating around, especially docking their boats. It's amazing how many people have boat, but not the seamanship/boat handling skills needed to properly use them. Strange & humorous things happen at the docks - interesting to watch.

Taking the afternoon off to go swimming with the girl today...Quiet evening of pizza and a few beers with another couple and their 3 kids tonight. Tomorrow the humidity is suppose to be gone so I hope to cut up some walnut and maple I picked up recently and rough out a bunch of bowls. Then some BBQ on my sister's new deck with a few cold ones probably as well. Sunday, yard work that needs to be caught up on since it's been so hot!

Hope to finish setting tile in one of the oldest son's bathrooms in his home.

Then begin cleanup in preparation for grouting and then texture the room.

It's time for a road trip for us. Heading to Alabama to see LOMLs mom, then to OKC to see some of my kids and grandkids. Next, to San Antonio and finally back home on the 28th. Needless to say, no shop time!!!!!

Going to be too hot to do much of anything. Will try and get a few things done, but I'm not going to get too ambitious.

Going to hit a concert at the zoo tonight after work (Ryan McGarvey). The rest of the weekend will be mostly getting settled back into my ABQ apartment and finish unpacking all the stuff I brought back with me from LA last weekend. Also going to try to get the sanding completed on the guitar body that I'll be sending to Dave Hawksford for painting. I ran out of time to finish the sanding in LA, but definitely will get 'er done here in ABQ. :thumb:

Just had two rush design jobs dumped on me to spoil the weekend. Have not designed submerged gravel wetlands before. I have to say the Maryland is at the forefront in advancing environmental site design...this should be interesting. Also want to see if I can find a smoker for some genuine ABTs.

probably the hottest feeling day of the year here on LI. temps in upper 90s with humidity at ridiculous.
dewpoint was 79 before.

I spent the morning at the casino, figured its cool, cant do anything else.

meeting up tonight with my aunt and uncle and a lot of my cousins out east, haven't seen them in a long time, but Im totally not thrilled about trying to drive east tonight during rush hour.

Got in the shop at 5AM to get more done by 9 AM then most will do all day LOL, Tomorrow morning shop work and then off to my oldest son Jon's graduation Party and a BBQ cook off after that. Not sure what Sunday holds after church.
We are busy, the shop is busting at the seams with furniture and my large POD out front is packed as well. After I get these 55 chairs chairs done for the Capital I'm thinking of a little ride out to Iowa to see Jake.

Crazy, crazy heat and humidity for the past week. Totally drains all ambition from me. It's supposed to break Saturday night. Of course I'm working Sunday.:(
Taking a ride up North to the mountains tomorrow and take a trip down memory lane, looking at my Dad's old place on the Saco river in Bartlett, NH. May stop by the old swimming hole. It's under a 100+year old rail road bridge (we called the bridge the 2nd iron because it was the 2nd iron bridge that crossed the river. Probably will stop at the "Lobster Trap" for family style lobster and steamers and cold beer. :thumb:

Hoping to work in the shop this weekend if its bearable. This week has been a stinker as my mother used to say. Also planning on more Abt's this weekend. Patiently waiting for the depot to decide to put the smoker i want on sale.:stick:think they will get the message.

work work work work work... my 'load' lightened up this week, but I've got a busy weekend, between an 'extra' project for the boss, plus this is my 'weekend on' at the office. It is the weekend of the Syracuse Nationals hot-rod show, but I'm skipping them this year. Between work and possibly getting some shop time in, I'll pass.

dropped the wife :blah: off at the y :treadmill: this morning for about an hour, shot over to the wood place to pick up some walnut and maple for the fair cutting board. went to a birthday party at a local park. tomorrow morning, heavy lift shopping, then finish off the walking stick, and start on the cutting board, and the new prototype of a 3 place wine bottle holder.

Working, sort of. Off to the wild blueberry industry field day today. It's mostly social, but I have to give a little report at lunchtime. Rumours are there will be an important announcement:D
Forecast is for humidex temp equivalents in the mid 40's C. About as hot as it ever gets here. Might have to head for the coast this evening.

Tomorrow, back to George's Island (named after Mad King George, btw), an old fortress out in Halifax harbour, to check out an event we're sponsoring. Should be fun.

One of these days I have to search for my workbench, under the clutter.

Have a great weekend everyone.

I had hoped to start someting this weekend, but so far yesterday was too hot (38º) and today is cooler but my time is being used up by relatives visiting from overseas (Mexico, Scotland and New Zealand.) I did get a little LV shopping done yesterday. More on that later.
